This is one of my favorite Fantasy books where the is a whole new world!! I have read Graceling (Another Lone star book for this year) and now I am reading this one. They did pick good books for the lonestar books (Except for Donut days ). To Imagine a Unreal world this book has a map at the beginning to picture it.
In the First chapter i realize that survival is needed everywhere you go.From here in Round Rock to Fellsmarch (the city where the book takes place.) Han is sent out to try and find food with his best friend Dancer. Instead of hunting they catch the scent of wood burning in the air. Knowing that it wasn't fire season Han and Dancer went to investigate. They found wizards here. The wizards were richer than any of the villagers and attended the queen in court. Dancer made a big mistake by calling the wizards many insults. Finally the "charm casters" were forced to give Han and Dancer their amulet. Not knowing what Han and Dancer they had just received they rode on.
